Richmond, VA – August 21, 2022 --As the pandemic has caused many of us to rethink how we gather and come together for church services to concerts, for some it has been extremely challenging, while for others, it presented a massive door of opportunities. Houston based, Apostle David Gilliam can testify to the latter as God has entrusted him to become one of the countries leading promoters for Gospel music. With a love for the people of God, Apostle Gilliam has been creating spaces where he has been pulling together FREE concerts with some of the biggest names in the Gospel industry, including the award winning John P. Kee, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Shirley Caesar, Jekalyn Carr, Pastor Mike Jr., Dorinda Clark Cole, Vickie Winans, Branden Anderson and many more.
Apostle Gilliam has been locking in concerts from the East Coast, to the South and in the Mid-West for just over a year. “The people just need a break and prayerfully these concerts will be uplifting to those in need as we close out all of our concerts with an invitation to be saved,” says Apostle Gilliam. His most recent concert was held at Antioch Christian Center Church, 3529 Courthouse Road in North Chesterfield, VA, where Bishop Jerry and Pastor Brenda Kelly serve as co-pastors.
Apostle Gilliam’s thought process includes, not going after the mega churches, but grassroot building with the saints, that has delivered a steady growing following. On Friday night, his special guests in North Chesterfield included Billboard Charting Branden Anderson, who is also one of the lead singers with GI, and Pastor John P. Kee who delivered back to back hits for over two hours. This was truly a night filled with God’s anointing as Apostle Gilliam delivered encouraging words and a call to worship and as Sheilah Belle shared her testimony and also served as the evenings emcee.
